সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন – ১

আমাদের নিত্যদিনের দুনিয়ায় কোন কিছুই স্থির নয় , সবকিছুই আপন ভঙ্গিমায় নিজস্ব গতিতে ছুটে চলেছে। যেদিকে দৃষ্টি দেই সেদিকেই দেখি সরলরৈখিক গতি (সোজা রাস্তায় গাড়ির গতি), দ্বিমাত্রিক গতি (প্রাস, বিমান), ঘূর্ণন গতি (পৃথিবীর গতি ), জটিল গতি (চাকার গতি), পর্যায়বৃত্ত গতি (ঘড়ির কাঁটার ঘূর্ণন), স্পন্দন গতি (হার্ট-বিট) । এছাড়া আছে আরেক ধরনের বিশেষ গতি – সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন ।

সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন হল উপরের এই সবগুলো গতির এক অপূর্ব সংমিশ্রণ । এবং প্রকৃতিতে সবচেয়ে বেশি খুঁজে পাওয়া যায় এই সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন গতিকেই। শুধু পুঁথিগত সরলদোলক কিংবা স্প্রিং এই সীমাবদ্ধ নয় সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন। আমাদের চারপাশের সমস্ত কম্পন যেমন আলো, শব্দ , সকল তাড়িৎচৌম্বক তরঙ্গ, সকল পরমাণুর নিজস্ব কম্পন, গ্রহ-নক্ষত্রের কম্পন, সকল জীব-কোষের কম্পন, হার্ট-বিট, এমনকি আমরা যে শীতে অথবা উত্তেজনায় কাঁপা-কাঁপি করি এসবই সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন। একথায় মহাবিশ্বের সকল কিছুর মাঝেই রয়েছে সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন।

এবার দেখা যাক, কি করে আমরা বুঝব কোন গতি সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন কিনা। যে কোন গতিতেই নিচের এই ৪টি বৈশিষ্ট্য থাকলে সেটা সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন হবে :

  • পর্যায়বৃত্ত গতি
  • স্পন্দন গতি
  • ত্বরণ সর্বদা একটি নির্দিষ্ট বিন্দু অভিমুখী ও এর মান সাম্যাবস্থান থেকে সরণের সমানুপাতিক ও দিক বিপরীতমুখী
  • সরলরৈখিক গতি

এবার একে-একে ব্যবচ্ছেদ করা যাক বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলোকে।

পর্যায়বৃত্ত গতি বলতে আমরা কী বুঝি? পর্যায়বৃত্ত গতির ক্ষেত্রে গতিশীল কণা এর গতিপথের কোন নির্দিষ্ট বিন্দুকে নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর পর একই দিক থেকে অতিক্রম করে। যেমন ঘড়ির কাঁটার গতির কথা বলা যায় ; ঘড়ির সেকেন্ডের কাঁটা 60 সেকেন্ড পর পর তার গতিপথের নির্দিষ্ট যে কোন বিন্দুকে একইদিক থেকে (একই দিক বলতে clock-wise বোঝানো হয়েছে) অতিক্রম করে ।

আর স্পন্দন গতি হল বিশেষ ধরনের পর্যায়বৃত্ত গতি যেখানে গতিশীল কণা এর গতিপথের অর্ধেক সময় যেদিকে যায় , বাকি অর্ধেক সময় তার ঠিক বিপরীত দিকে যায় । অর্থাৎ পর্যায়বৃত্ত গতির মত এখানেও গতিপথের কোন নির্দিষ্ট বিন্দুকে নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর পর একইদিক থেকে অতিক্রম করে। যেমন যে কোন ধরনের কম্পনের ক্ষেত্রে দেখা যায় নির্দিষ্ট পর্যায়কাল পর পর কণা একই বিন্দুকে অতিক্রম করে এবং গতিপথের অর্ধেক সময়ে যেদিকে যায়, বাকি অর্ধাংশে বিপরীত দিকে চলে। একইরকমভাবে সরল দোলকও স্পন্দন গতি (স্পন্দন থাকলে পর্যায়বৃত্ত তো থাকবেই ) অনুসরণ করে দোলে ।

কিন্তু শুধু স্পন্দনগতি (ও পর্যায়বৃত্ত গতি ) থাকলেই সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন হবে না, আমাদের দেখতে হবে “ত্বরণ সর্বদা একটি নির্দিষ্ট বিন্দু অভিমুখী ও এর মান সাম্যাবস্থান থেকে সরণের সমানুপাতিক ও দিক বিপরীত” কিনা । এই ব্যাপারটা কেমন? এই ঘটনাটা সবচেয়ে সুন্দরভাব ব্যাখ্যা করেছেন চমক হাসান ভাইয়া (এর চেয়ে সুন্দরভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করা যায় কিনা, সে ব্যাপারে আমার সন্দেহ আছে); হুবহু তার ভাষাতেই ঘটনাটা অনুভব করা যাক,

ব্যাপারটা আমি একটু আমার মতো করে তোমাকে অনুভব করাই। গতি বা বেগ আমরা এমনিতেই অনুভব করি, কত দ্রুত একটা বস্তু চলছে সেটা দিয়ে, ত্বরণকে অনুভব করবে কিভাবে? আমি এভাবে বুঝি সরল দোলকে ত্বরণ হলো বাড়ি ফেরার মনের টান। বাড়ি থেকে যত দূরে যাবে তত হোম সিক হয়ে পড়বে! ত্বরণের দিক সবসময় বাড়ির দিকে। যখন দূরে সরে যাচ্ছ যেদিকে সরছ তার উলটো দিকে তোমার যাওয়ার ইচ্ছে। যখন প্রান্তে পৌঁছে গেলে তখন ইচ্ছেটা অনেক জোরালো । এরপর বাড়ির দিকে ফিরছ। মন জুড়াচ্ছে । দৌড়ে দৌড়ে ফিরছ । যখন বাড়িতে ফিরে এসেছ তখন যদিও মন শান্ত ত্বরণ শূন্য , কিন্তু একটা ভুল হয়ে গেছে। ত্বরণের কারণে বেগ বাড়াতে বাড়াতে এমন অবস্থায় পৌঁছে গেছ, যে নিজেকে আর স্থির ধরে রাখতে পারলে না। বাড়ি এসেও পার হয়ে চলে গেলে। তারপর আবার পুরনো কাহিনী।

গাণিতিকভাবে দেখলে,

                             » F  α –x   ( নিউটনের ২য় সূত্র হতে প্রাপ্ত , F α a থেকে)

                             » F  = –kx  ( k সমানুপাতিক ধ্রুবক )

এবার ৪ নং বৈশিষ্ট্যে আসা যাক , বলা হয়েছে সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন হল সরলরৈখিক গতি । এই কাঁপা-কাঁপি কীভাবে সরলরৈখিক গতি হয় ? দাড়াও আরো বিভ্রান্ত করে দেয়া যাক; যদি বলি এই সরলছন্দিত স্পন্দনের সাথে বৃত্তাকার গতিরও গভীর সম্পর্ক আছে 😮 !! (এটা সরলছন্দিত স্পন্দনের সমীকরন y = Asinϴ দেখেই অনুমান করা উচিত, কারণ sin হল বৃত্তীয় ফাংশন । এবং এর সমীকরণ এসেছেও বৃত্তীয় গতি থেকেই ( সে ব্যাপারে পরে আলোকপাত করা হবে)।

আচ্ছা ব্যাপারটা বোঝার জন্য একটা দৃশ্যকল্প কল্পনা করা যাক। মনে করি একটা বল নিয়ে উলম্বভাবে দড়ির সাহায্যে বৃত্তাকার পথে ঘুরাচ্ছি (উপরের  অ্যানিমেশনের মত করে)। বল ঘোরার সাথে সাথে নিচে এর ছায়াও তৈরি করছে। ভালমত ছায়ার দিকে লক্ষ করে দেখ তো, ছায়ার গতি সরলছন্দিত স্পন্দনের শর্তের সাথে মেলে কিনা? মাঝখান থেকে একবার এদিক আরেকবার ওদিক । এবং আরো খেয়াল করে দেখ এই ছায়ার গতিও কিন্তু সরলরৈখিক!! অর্থাৎ বলের গতি বৃত্তাকার গতি হলেও বলের ছায়ার গতি কিন্তু সরলরৈখিক এবং সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন। এবার বোঝা গেল কীভাবে বৃত্তাকার গতির মাঝেও লুকিয়ে থাকে সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন?

এবার আসো, আমরা সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দনের সমীকরণ দাড় করানোর চেষ্টা করি। আবার আগের মত নতুন একটি দৃশ্য-কল্প কল্পনা কর (নিচের চিত্রের মত): বৃত্তাকার পথে বল ঘুরছে , তবে আলো এবার এমনভাবে স্থাপন করা হয়েছে যেন এবার বলের ছায়া এসে পড়ে ব্যাস ST উপর (ধরে নেওয়া যাক ST একটি তল/দন্ড, যেখানে বলের ছায়া পড়বে)। এবং তোমার চোখ আনুভুমিক ভাবে আছে যাতে ছায়ার সরণ(মূলবিন্দু থেকে) ভালমত বোঝা যায়। এবার আমরা বল ঘুরানো শুরুকরলাম P বিন্দু থেকে(anti-clock wise), বল ঘুরছে ω কৌণিক বেগে এবং একইসাথে বলের সাথে সাথে ছায়ার সরণ লক্ষ করতে থাকি।

ঘটনা পর্যবেক্ষণের সাথে সাথে বলের অবস্থান (কৌণিক অবস্থান, রেডিয়ান এককে) কীভাবে সরছে এবং সাথে সাথে ছায়ার সরণ (মূলবিন্দু থেকে) কতটুকু হচ্ছে তার গ্রাফ প্লট করতে থাকি; প্রথমদিকে ছায়া’র সরণ (মূলবিন্দু থেকে) বাড়ছে (P থেকে S পর্যন্ত), S এ ছায়া’র সরণ(মূলবিন্দু থেকে) সর্বোচ্চ হয়। তারপর কমে; কমতে কমতে আমাদের চোখের লেভেলে আসলে ছায়া মিলিয়ে যায়। এরপর আবার বাড়ে( T পর্যন্ত) এবং T তে এসে আবারো ছায়ার সরণ সর্বোচ্চ হয়, তবে এবার কিন্তু নিচের দিকে ছায়া পড়ছে। এভাবে পুরো গ্রাফ প্লট করলে এরকম দাঁড়াবে (উপরের চিত্র ডানের অংশ)।

গ্রাফটা খুব পরিচিত না?তরঙ্গ-তরঙ্গ মনে হচ্ছে না? হ্যা তরঙ্গই, প্রথমে বলেছিলাম নাস? সব তরঙ্গই সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন।এখানে বলের ছায়ার সরণ হল সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দন, বলের গতি কিন্তু না।

যেকোন নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে (t) বল ϴ রেডিয়ান অবস্থানে আসল ; তাহলে এখানে ছায়ার সরণ কত হবে ?(ধরি y )

তাহলে বৃত্তের LON ত্রিভুজ এ,

                                           cos(90- ϴ) =   LO/ON ( ভুমি / অতিভুজ )

                                       »    sinϴ           =   y/A     (LO=y=ছায়ার সরণ;  ON=A=বৃত্তের ব্যাস=ছায়ার সর্বোচ্চ বিন্দু)

                                       »        y      =   Asinϴ

                                       »        y      =   Asin ωt   ( কারণ, ϴ = ω/t)

অর্থাৎ শুধুমাত্র কৌণিকবেগ অথবা কম্পাঙ্ক (কারণ, ω=2πf ) জানা থাকলেই সরল ছন্দিত স্পন্দনের যেকোন সময়ের সরণ বের করা যায়।

কিন্তু অপ্রিয় সত্য হল বাস্তব জীবনের অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই (স্প্রিং,সরল দোলক ইত্যাদি) এই সমীকরণ অকার্যকর!! কীভাবে? তাহলে কী উপায়? আগামী পর্বে আমরা সেটা নিয়েই আলোচনা করব, আরো আলোচনা হবে দশা, দশা ধ্রুবক ও শক্তি নিয়ে। এবং সবশেষে থাকছে নির্মম বাস্তবতা!! 😮

    Ampleye is a 4-Zone scleral lens employing Spline
    Science Technology to connect and smooth the lens junctions,
    making each zone independently adjustable. The white part of the
    eye is called the sclera and these lenses are designed to vault
    the cornea and be supported by the sclera with a fluid reservoir between the cornea and
    the contact lens.
